What is Whale & Snake?

In December of 2023 I discovered a quaint little website called Picmix. There I could make silly collage gifs like the ones you could make in Blingee (RIP). I instantly became addicted and since then I have made one (if not more) every day.
One day in the August of 2024, I was messing around in the Picmix editor and started to make a scene staring Littlest Pet Shop (LPS) toys. I got a lot of comments on it, so I decided to make a sequel, and then another sequel, and then another and another. Next thing I knew I had a series.
The story posted here is actually a reboot of the original story. A bit of a second draft.

I was diagnosed with Dyslexia when I was really young. Contrary to what some people think, you can be Dyslexic and literate. If you were like me and were lucky enough to get specialized schooling and tutoring, you can become so competent at reading and writing that people will think you're lying when you tell them your Dyslexic. I still know people who think I "grew out of" my Dyslexia, and for the record that's not how it works. I may not display it on the outstide, but internally I still find reading and writing a chore. Much harder than it is for most people.
This sucks because ever since I was little I've wanted to tell stories, but struggled with writing them down. Whale and Snake is me "writing" a story by instead using visuals made in Picmix, and then writing short descriptions for clarification. This is really freeing for someone like me who thinks visually. Whale and Snake is something that is made for fun and isn't made all that seriously, but my hope is that making this story and posting it online can improve my confidence in storytelling.
