Chapter 16:
City at Night

Panel one: Whale and Snake saying goodbye to the rest of the friend group. Panel two: Whale and Snake say goodbye to each other (in a different location that the previous panel). Panel three: Whale is in the alleyway about to open the backdoor of her apartment building with her keys. Panel four: Whale turns around, startled, with exclaimation points floating by her head.

Whale and Snake say goodbye and goodnight to each other and the rest of their friends as they part ways to go home. Something startles Whale when she's about to go to her apartment.
